Changes

This blog is changing.

I will no longer be about Internet Marketing.

Instead I will be focusing on, and writing about, blogging.

Why the change?

One of the main reasons is that I am more aware of the importance of narrowing my focus. In the past blogging was just part of several Internet marketing activities i was engaged in. I had several blogs on the go and was spreading myself very thinly. Internet marketing is a large niche with many topic areas which can be covered and I was trying to do to much. Also, I started to see a darker side to Internet marketing which put me off the subject quite a bit.

Another reason for the change is that I was doing a review of last year to find the high and low points. One of the high points was taking part in the the 30 day blog challenge. It was a great experience, but I didn’t realise that fully until I looked back on it recently. After the challenge I sort of thought “right, that was fun and fulfilling but I best get on with more of that Internet marketing work”

I have also changed my attitude to making money with blogging. It may be a subtle difference but I will try to explain it. In the past I saw blogging as a way of trying to make money. Now I see making money with my blog as a way to keep blogging. I think it an important shift in how I blog and I’ll be writing about it in the future.

Finally, on a fulfilment level I believe I can make more of an impact writing about blogging as opposed to general Internet marketing, and it is something I think I can throw myself into 100%.

What changes?

I was going to start a new blog, but then thought I should just transform this one. I have already built a fairly good foundation here, with how the site is set up
