SEO for blogs
Search Engine optimization… a term that strikes fear, frustration and confusion in the hearts of many internet marketers.
Including me!
But I think it is important to understand this area if you have a blog or website it is necessary to do some SEO work.
I’m no expert on SEO or getting a website to rank highly in the search engines for competitive keywords.
I have some idea that it has something to do with back-links from other sites and that the higher the authority of the site that links to yours is (i.e. high page rank), the better this is for your SEO. Posting on a regular basis is also good for SEO, as is the way you use keywords in your post and how you use tags. Submitting sites to directories is also a way of boosting your sites authority with search engines and thus increasing your rankings. Especially if you are listed in directories like dmoz who review submissions manually.
Well that is a brief outline of what I think I know. But I have found a very useful resource which I am going to use to increase my knowledge of SEO.
A website called foublogger.com has put together a list of “51 Ebooks that Every Blogger Should Read” (yikes, talk about information overload)
